Casa Alibri GPS position: 11.252558, -73.877708

We are located 3km from the main road La Troncal and 4km from the beach. The main mobility in the area is a Mototaxi. If you are in Santa Marta you can go to the Main Market of the city and take an interminucipal bus that goes towards Palomino (last bus 18h) and tell the driver to stop at Costeño Beach, from there you can take a motorcycle taxi and in 10 minutes, you will find us just past the enchanted pool (Posa Encantada)! Only 4 x 4 cars and motorbikes can get to the house.

There is a fee of 5000 cop/per person (€1.20) to enter Mendihuaca, it is for the community, but we will gladly reimburse it to you! Keep your ticket and show it as you go in and out to avoid paying again!

FAQs

Is breakfast included?

Yes, we offer a basic breakfast every day and if you want something more special, there are other options for a small extra charge.

Do you have wifi?

Yes we have satellite wifi and solar panels for electricity, so even when other hotels in the area have no electricity (and therefore no wifi) we remain connected usually. The wifi is strong enough to send & receive emails, send large image files (12MB), however online voice and video calls may lag or suffer delays, and are sometimes cut off.

Do you welcome pet dogs?

We have 2 dogs and 5 cats here, so another doggy guest could be quite upsetting for the animals who already live here.

Where can I eat dinner?

We offer dinner 7 nights per week. There is always a Vegetarian and a Meat / Fish option, often all 3!

Do you offer lunch?

Every day except Sunday we have sandwiches and salads or wraps.

How can I reach your location?

From the main road by Mendihuaca Beach, you can either walk for 40 mins, or take a mototaxi from the Costenó Beach entrance. Be aware that normal cars can’t reach the whole distance to us, and that the last part has a couple of steep hills - so if you have a large bag, it’s best to arrive by mototaxi, or we can arrange a 4WD car for you if you give us a couple days notice to arrange it.
